Their Future's So Bright...

...they gotta wear shades!!

All thanks to Uncle Justin and Aunt Sara who gave Riley her first pair of sunglasses, Riley now insists on wearing sunglasses all of the time! We were all at the mall this past weekend and we bought Riley 2 new pairs of sunglasses that she chose to share with Hadley. Poor little Hadley has no idea what's going on, but she's not complaining!!

Outtakes

As I was trying to take some pictures of Hadley to capture her at 3months old, Riley just had to be apart of the action. She climbed herself right up into the chair so she could be in the pictures. And then after every picture I'd take Riley had to get out of the chair to see what the picture looked like.

Even though it may not look like it...I swear she's my daughter!!

Typical Riley face!! Love her!!

Look at those baby blues. She's gets them from her momma!!

Doesn't Trey look thrilled that I'm taking pictures?? I can't help it...I try to capture as many moments as possible. And I like to see how small Hadley looks in Trey's arms, because she looks like a giant in mine! My little baby girl ;)

Three Months

Yesterday was Hadley's 3 month marker. I can't believe three months has gone by so quickly. Especially since I haven't lost weight like I have wanted to. But that's okay because I started my exercise program yesterday as well. I really haven't been able to work out like I have wanted to because I was taking care of Trey from surgery and trying to get the girls on a routine so that I could find time for myself to work out. So I'm hoping in the next couple of months I can drop the rest of my baby weight. I've lost 30lbs, I've just got to get rid of the other 20lbs. Enough about my weight. My little Hadley is a chunky little monkey!! I love every single roll on her! She is so lovable and cuddly. Hadley is smiling and giggling all of the time. If I look at her while she's eating she'll get a big smile and then all the milk runs out of her mouth. So I try not to watch her too much while she's eating. Hadley is getting much stronger now and grasping tightly with her little hands. She has been sleeping through the night for about 3 weeks now. No interruptions! Lucky me! Hadley is just a joy to be around and I'm so glad to have her in my life!!

Happy Birthday Trey/Daddy!!!

Trey turned 26 years old yesterday. He says he still feels the same as when he was 25!! We had a nice day of relaxation and I made him fettucini alfredo w/chicken for his birthday lunch. In the evening we headed over to our friends house to celebrate Trey's birthday some more along with Derel's birthday. They share the same birthday, except Derel turned 30! I ordered Trey a cake from Baskin Robbins decorated with Lightning McQueen and Mater!! I figured that cake suited him well!

I tried to get a picture of Trey with both of his girls, but they weren't cooperating very well. So here is what I got!

Miss Independent

Riley is definitely miss do it herself. She doesn't want any one's help for anything. I think it's a great thing because she is learning how to do things for herself. Here are the updates on what Riley is doing on her own:
*putting on her shoes(which she gets frustrated about sometimes when she has them on the wrong feet)
*unloading the dishwasher(while I put the dishes away)
*putting her dirty dishes into the dishwasher
*choosing her outfit for the day(she won't wear anything that she doesn't take out of her drawers)
*brushing her hair
*taking her diaper off(not always a good thing)
*putting her pants on
*climbing into the car
*washing her hands
*climbing in & out of the bathtub
That's just a short list of things that I can think of at the present moment. I am so proud of her. Of course there are times that I miss having to lift her up to put her in the bathtub. She throws a fit now when I try to put her in the bathtub because she can do it on her own. I still think of her as my baby, but she's growing into a "big girl." Oh, I forgot to mention how she can unlock the sliding glass door and go outside by herself. NOT a good thing! I've caught her a few times outside. The only good thing about that is she put her shoes on before going outside. On Monday we were outside all day long. Riley didn't even take a nap because she was playing so nicely. Towards the end of the day Riley took it upon herself to walk down to the playground by herself! Trey looks down the hill and tells me to look at our daughter. I thought she was in the pool playing. I can't turn my back for a minute! She was no longer in the pool, she was walking down to the park with not a care in the world. The only good thing is that we can see the playground from our house. My, oh, my do I have my hands full!
The picture I have posted of Riley was from her wanting to wear a headband because Hadley was wearing a headband. I was thinking to myself, "oh, Riley wants to be girly today!" Well as you can see the headband was just a toy for Riley. She decided it was more fun to blindfold herself and walk around running into things rather than wear it on her head! Got to love her!

Playtime with Papa Bear

These two are so funny to watch play together. They are my rough housers for sure! Riley loves to wrestle and be thrown around by her daddy. Sometimes Riley will start crying, but she's totally faking me out. As soon as I tell Trey to stop wrestling with her because he's being too rough, Riley starts laughing and asks Trey to play more. She's such a little stinker. So I don't say anything anymore. I just let the two of them jump around like crazy people and tear the cushions off the couch! I can't wait until Hadley is old enough to join in on the fun. I'm sure Trey will have a blast tossing his two girls around. Well I know he's hoping that Hadley likes to rough house like her big sister. I guess we'll have to wait just a little longer to find out. In the meantime Trey will just have to keep on wrestling with Riley! Such great bonding for him and his clone!

Valentine's Day

Lovely little Valentine girls!! You'll have to excuse the Ravioli sauce on Riley's face, she doesn't like to be wiped up after dinner and I didn't feel like fighting!

We had a nice Valentine's Day here at the Prewitt house. The girls got some nice Valentine's from Poppy & Grandma Kathy, and from Nana. Trey went out early in the morning and came home with a Godiva box for me. It was filled with 4 jumbo chocolate covered strawberries and a shish kabob made of chocolate covered bananas and strawberries. That treat was much needed!! Then we pretty much spent the entire day outside playing, except for nap time and feeding time! Riley cruised around on her bike and in her mustang. However, Riley took a ton of spills outside and scraped her knees all up. Most of her falls she got right back up and kept running. But her last one she started crying. I guess you can only fall on pavement so many times before it really hurts. I put some neosporin on her scrapes and a band-aid to make her feel better. Two seconds later Riley wanted her band-aid off. She's not a fan of them! All in all it was a great day spent with the ones I love. The beautiful 80 degree, sunny day made it all that more enjoyable too!

Look at all that sisterly love! I'm so thankful to have these two beautiful girls in my life. I can't wait to spend more Valentine's Days with them. I look forward to when they understand what the day is about so I can give them special treats that will excite them! I asked Riley if she was my Valentine and she replied "yep!" Of course she had no idea what I meant. Trey told me that Riley wasn't my Valentine, he was! I have plenty of love to spread around. I had 3 Valentine's this year! I'm a lucky lady!

Passed Out

I put Hadley in her jumperoo for a moment so that I could use the bathroom by myself for once. I came back to find this...

Round 2

So I gave in and we are now proud owners of an American Cocker Spaniel. Her name is Hula and she is 3 months old. Just what I need is another baby to take care of. But I was tired of being the mean mom/wife that always said no to having a dog. And when I saw this cutie it was much to hard to say no. She was sweet as could be! In all actuality she's a really good puppy. She doesn't bark at all and is laid back. Hula does have her moments of nipping on your toes, but she's a puppy. Riley is super excited about the puppy most of the time. Riley isn't a fan of being licked on the face or having her toes bitten. Riley does love to run around the house and have Hula follow her. It's really cute to watch. What's not really cute is me cleaning up pee and poop off the floor! I can't wait for the puppy to be potty trained, along with Riley! So if you are trying to call me and I don't answer, it's probably because I've now got 3 babies under the age of 2!

Oh, and if you are wondering about our name choice it's because we wanted to choose a Hawaiian name for her. Trey was looking at a list of Hawaiian names asking me how to pronounce them. I had no idea. So I skimmed down the list and saw Hula(meaning "to dance") and we both liked it a lot. So we named her Hula! Love it!

No Snow Here!

Most of you that are reading this live on the East Coast and have been hit with 30 or so inches of snow! I was jealous at first because I love to watch the snow fall and would love to have Riley play in some snow. Look at my girls sad faces because they are missing all the snow!

But then we all quickly got over our jealousy. The past few days have been absolutely beautiful here. It's been in the low 80's with the best trade winds blowing. Riley has been busy riding her bike and cruising in her mustang. The mustang was rather dirty so Trey was showing Riley how to wash it right. She was having a blast scrubbing her mustang down. So while most of you are stuck in a couple feet of snow, we'll keep enjoying the sunshine for you!!

Happy Feet

The time has come for Hadley to try out the jumperoo. Riley was a huge fan of the jumperoo when she was younger and I'm hoping for the same outcome with Hadley. I honestly believe that it helped strengthen Riley's legs which is why she was such an early walker. I didn't think that Hadley's legs would reach the floor, but surprisingly enough, they did!
Hadley seemed to enjoy her first time in the jumperoo. She was moving it up and down as much as her petite legs would allow her to. Of course her big sister had to get in on the action. Trey and I had to keep reminding Riley to be gentle. Riley liked to bounce Hadley rather harshly. Even though Hadley didn't seem to mind Riley's roughness, Trey and I preferred a more gentle approach. I am looking forward to when Hadley becomes a bit more active so she can really start bouncing!

Rainy Day

It was pouring down rain here on Tuesday. To keep me occupied I decided to have a little photo shoot with my girls. I mean, you just can't take enough pictures of such sweetness!! Right? Please notice both my girls have long pants on. It's cold here...only 75 degrees! Honestly that is cold to us!
Here is Hadley showing off how much she loves her daddy!

Kissy, kissy! Riley can't give Hadley enough kisses. I definitely don't get as many kisses from Riley as I use to because she's too busy giving them all to her sister. It's the sweetest thing to watch Riley with Hadley. Riley talks to her in this little high pitched voice. I guess Riley hears me change my voice when I talk to Hadley, so she does the same thing. I love it!
