Warm Welcome

Hadley and I got to come home from the hospital on Monday morning. I think the person most excited to see us home was Riley. Trey and I were both wondering how Riley would take to having a new baby in the house, but apparently we had nothing to worry about. Riley is absolutely in love with her little sister. Riley is constantly giving Hadley kisses and touching her gently. She is always wanting to give her hugs and have Hadley lay on the floor so she can see and touch her better. It's nice that Riley is so gentle and loving with Hadley. One less worry for me! The only thing I really have to watch is Riley wanting to share her food with Hadley. Riley doesn't quite understand that Hadley can't have her food! Oh well, I can deal with that!

Please join us in welcoming our new daughter, Hadley Marie Prewitt!! She was born on November 21st at 11:39pm. Hadley weighed 8lbs 2.9oz and was 18in long. We are completely overjoyed to have another healthy little girl in our lives! Forgive me for making this entry so short, but my hands are a bit full right now. I'll post more a little later!

Boys & Their Toys(and Girls Too!)

Since Trey's lung collapsed he got to have 14 days off of work for recovery. Before he went into the hospital he and Riley were having a little trouble with bonding. Riley was definitely super clingy to me, but who can blame her! Anyway, I suggested he find something fun they can play with together to help their relationship. Perhaps that was the wrong thing to say! Trey noticed Riley liked our neighbors remote control car so he went out and bought a super duper remote control car. This thing is huge and crazy fast. I told Trey that it wasn't really what I had in mind, but if it will bring the two of them closer who am I to say anything.
Riley is an absolute fan of the remote control car Trey bought for them. Riley loves to chase the car around and try to use the control to drive the car. I told Trey since he said he bought the car for Riley I'm going to paint it pink! Trey told me I wasn't allowed. I'm glad that the two of them have a toy they both enjoy playing with together now. Having Trey home the past two weeks has been really good for Trey and Riley. I'm sure they are both going to be sad when he has to go back to work on Friday.
