Seeing Double...No Wait, Seeing Triple..

Today was my first doctor visit for baby #2! Trey was able to go into work late so that he could go with me since we would be getting our first ultrasound today. After my lovely head to toe exam the fun part came...ultrasound time! Riley was with us, of course, and was only satisfied if I was holding her. I was having a pelvic ultrasound which I had never had before, but it gives a much clearer image especially with the baby being so small. So I had Riley sitting up on my chest while the doctor was conducting the ultrasound. Trey and I are watching the monitor rather intently. Oh boy, we see the baby, so exciting! It was so exciting until we then saw another baby. Wait a minute...there are two babies on the monitor. Trey and I both asked "are there 2 babies?" The doctor replied "yes" with a smile. Then a few moments later a third baby appears on the monitor. I thought Trey was going to have a heart attack. Trey starts blabbing about how he's going to have to sell the car and get a suburban, and how will we buy diapers and how will we pay for college. I was laughing and telling him to calm down and to just wait a minute. The doctor was silent and wasn't answering any questions, so I presumed something wasn't right with the images. The doctor took the probe out and then did a regular ultrasound to confirm what he was seeing.

Riley wasn't able to sit with me during this part and totally freaked out so Trey left the room with her. During this ultrasound we found that there was only one baby in my belly. The baby appears to be healthy with a nice strong heartbeat and wiggling all around. After finding that there was only one baby the doctor did another pelvic ultrasound only to discover that the probe must be broken because it was showing multiple images again. It was weird because each of the images were moving the exact same which is how the doctor knew something wasn't right with the probe. It was a fun little freak out for me and Trey. Honestly, I wasn't nervous. I was really just thinking about how big my stomach was going to be! I called my mom right afterwards to tell her the story and told her that if we were really having triplets she was going to have to move in with us!

I will post the pictures of the ultrasound in a few days. Our scanner isn't hooked up since we are moving in 2 days.

Daddy's Little Helper

Trey normally washes the cars every week, but lately it's been every other weekend. Riley has recently discover all of the bubbles that are in her daddy's bucket. She used to just play with the water that was on the driveway from the hose. Now, Riley is taking the bubble out of the bucket and helping Trey wash the car. It was the funniest thing. She watched Trey use his rag and wash the car. So then Riley dipped her hand in the bucket and got it covered in bubbles and started rubbing them on the car. I couldn't stop laughing. If it had been anyone else in the world Trey would have been so mad. He's very particular when it comes to cleaning cars in case you didn't know.
Riley definitely enjoyed herself outside getting all wet, bubbly, and dirty. Her pants were soaking wet. At the end of the car wash, Riley was tugging at her pants to get them off. So I took them off for her and then off she went running around in her diaper. I swear this child would live outside if she could!
