All the Way From Manila & Baltimore

The day finally arrived that Riley got to meet Uncle Justin, Aunt Sara, and her cousin Addie. This was a long awaited introduction. For those of you who don't know, Riley was born the same day that her uncle, aunt, and cousin were moving to the Phillipines. So this visit is super special for me and Riley. I'm so glad that Riley is getting to interact with more of her family. Riley was a little scared at first because of all the excitement. Not to mention that her Uncle Justin is a little loud...he made her cry a little bit. That's only because as soon as he walked in the door he said "give me that baby!" Riley was wondering what crazy man was taking her away from her mommy. It was still a great moment! I am so excited that they are in Hawai'i.

Kiki arrived on Saturday afternoon and was greeted at the airport by Trey and Justin. It was so nice to have some family visiting. Riley was rather overwhelmed with all the new faces and sounds around her. She wasn't quite sure what to think or how to act. After a few minutes of getting aquainted she stopped her fussing and started smiling and playing. It was so much fun to watch Addie interact with Riley. Addie kept trying to help Riley jump in her jumperoo. Sara and I were trying to teach Addie that she has to be gentle with the baby. Addie is just too sweet with Riley. It's adorable how much Addie likes babies. We are definitely enjoying our time with family in town.

Not So Yummy

My how time flys! Riley is 4 months old today. So that meant Riley got to experience her first taste of some yummy rice cereal. However, I'm not so sure that Riley thought it was very yummy. Trey was the one to feed her the not so yummy mixture. It was too funny to watch them both. Riley was pretty much spitting all of the cereal out of her mouth. Trey was trying to keep up with her, but I think he was making more of a mess than she was. I looked over at Riley and she had cereal all the way up by her eye. I still am laughing thinking about it. Oh well...better luck next time maybe!

Where Is My Little Bambino??

I couldn't believe my eyes today. Riley is always wanting to sit up like a big girl or stand, she never wants to be sitting still. So this morning I sat Riley on our bed and then let go of her, and she continued to stay sitting up! I was almost in tears. Where is my little girl that used to be so tiny? She could only sit up for a minute or so and then she'd fall over. But still...she is well on her way! And yes...the picture below she is definitely drooling like the little drool monster she is!

Jumperoo

Riley has finally grown into her jumperoo. I remember when we first bought this for her, it was when we just arrived to Hawai'i. Riley's feet used to not even touch the ground...she was just too tiny. Now, she fits just perfectly in her jumper. Riley will bounce for the longest time in her jumperoo and be completely entertained. Trey and I get a kick out of watching her jump around. She's just too funny to watch when she gets going in this contraption. Riley loves for her daddy to make her bounce too. Trey will grab her legs and make her jump really high and Riley just smiles her little butt off! I love watching her reactions when he makes her jump. Then while Trey's at work I try to make her jump high and she looks at me like "you're not my daddy." I guess I don't have the touch. I do make sure to have her play in the jumperoo before bathtime and bedtime to wear herself out. This way I can assure my little love bug sleeps through the night. The exercise normally adds about an extra 30 mins. of sleep in the morning. I wish they made one in adult size so I could get my workout in the living room!

So Big...

In just a few days Riley will be 4 months old. I'm not sure where the time has gone. She gets bigger every day. It just amazes me how much she can change in a matter of days. Riley is a big fan of sitting straight up and standing up. She's nosy as can be, and just loves to be moving around. I thought she looked too darn cute with her headband so I figured I'd snap a few shots of my precious girl.

Clowning Around

This past Monday Trey started working the evening shift. This means he leaves the house at 1pm and gets home around midnight, sometimes later. So now Riley and I have all afternoon and night by ourselves. I normally have her laying on the blanket trying to teach her to rollover. I don't think she quite understands my directions because she pretty much ignores them. Oh well...she'll roll when she's ready. So since I wasn't having any luck with the rolling over I figured I'd be a photographer and try to get some pictures of my little love bug smiling. Of course when I finally get the shots of her smiling her eyes are closed in every single one! I still find the pictures to be absolutely adorable and thought I'd share them with all of you. As you can see after Riley and I are done playing and clowning around she is plum tuckered out! That just means some peace and quiet for me! Finally!!

It's Bath Time

Riley gets a bath pretty much at the same time every night. I think it's her favorite time of the day! She could be crying her eyes out and as soon as you put her in the bath she's quiet as can be. She just likes to lay back and relax. Or maybe she likes it because she knows right afterwards she's going to get to eat! And let me tell you, my girl loves to eat! I just love how relaxed Riley is in the bath. She's always been that way too, just ask Kiki!

Daddy Time

Riley and I were lucky girls today because Trey had off of work! So instead of Trey heading for the garage like normal he spent time with the girls! It's so much fun to watch Trey and Riley interact with eachother. She definitely loves her daddy. When he's in the room her eyes are stuck to him like glue. It's so sweet.

Thank you Nana!

This is just a big thank you to Nana(aka Miss Maddie) for the swing and her new little seat to help support Riley's back. Riley loves them both!
