Should've Hired Mr. Kevin...

Okay, so I'm not quite sure where to begin for this entry. It all started well over a year ago, probably about 2 years ago when I was planning our wedding. The most important thing to me was to hire the best photographer money could buy. Reason being that the pictures would be what we have forever to remind us of our wedding day. After checking out a bunch of photographers I had one recommended to me. I met with him and saw his gorgeous photos of previous weddings he had worked. I was sold on the spot. I was telling my mom and Mr. Kev how much the pictures would cost me and Mr. Kev told me I was crazy. He said I should just hire him and bet that he'd take the best pictures. Yeah right! I now wonder when children will realize that their parents are normally right!
Trey and I were told on our wedding day by our photographer that by the time we got back from our honeymoon we'd be able to view our wedding photos. That would've been around Oct. 16th. After hasseling the photographer we got to see our pics mid November. I was so anxious to see our photos. After I saw the pictures I wish I hadn't! I was not pleased at all with the selection of photos. I thought for sure there would have been more pictures to choose from and more variety. I was so pissed about them I didn't order my album until January. It took me 2 months to try to find pictures that I loved. After choosing the number of pictures I was instructed to choose I placed my album order. Then I was told I had to cut 4 photos or pay another $200. Excuse me...I already paid $3200, I wasn't about to pay another damn penny.
We didn't receive our wedding album until late June. I was relieved when it finally arrived after all the waiting I had to do. Trey and I were both pleased with the final result. We were both happy and Trey even said that it was worth everything we went through and the money we spent.
Well, this past Saturday we finally received the hard drive so that we could have possession of all the wedding pictures. Would you ever guess that there were numerous pictures on the hard drive that we had never seen. Tons of pictures that I would have loved to see before I ordered my album. One would think that when paying thousands of dollars you would be able to view every picture taken. I do believe it should have been our decision as to what pictures we would like in our album.
Somehow I think I should've just let Mr. Kev and Mr. Bob take all the pictures. They both took some great ones. Anyway...here are just a few shots that I had never seen before!
Above, being escorted by my Dad and Mr. Kevin
Below, a sweet moment of my husband helping me make it up the stairs!

Now presenting Mr and Mrs William Prewitt III

I thought this one was really sweet...we just look all lovey dovey

I thought this one was funny....my moms shoes are right by Aunt Terry's feet. Both pairs too, her high heels and then her tan comfy shoes! Nice job Mom!!

This would have been nice to have in our wedding album

Trey was pretty upset about this pic....he loves it! It would have been perfect for our last picture in the album since it is of us leaving the reception in the wedding maro!
Moral of my story....don't pay for things up front. Definitely wait until you see the final product!

Rachel, I can't believe you didn't get to see every picture up-front. I would give that photographer an earful even a year later. Now you can make your own album online with snapfish or something. They turn out so nice. Sara
