Power Wheels

Trey and I decided to take Riley to the store on Saturday to get her some new toys. I really wanted to get her one of those flinstone cars that she can move around in using her feet. However, last time we were at Target they didn't have any and the NEX didn't have any this time. We let Riley walk around and look at all the different toys to see if anything would catch her eye.
Apparently something pink caught the eye of this 15 month old!! When Riley laid her eyes on this pink mustang she didn't want to leave. And so daddy said well if that's what my baby wants then that's what she'll get! It's rather amusing because Riley can't even reach the gas pedal yet. She needs to grow about 4 or 5 more inches. But she sits in that car and turns the steering wheel and turns on the music and honks the horn. Riley is thinking she's hot stuff!! She'll probably be driving by November/December time frame. Just in time for her take Kennedy for a spin!

Mini Monster

As I was cleaning our breakfast dishes this morning I noticed my little one had disappeared and was being mysteriously quiet. When this kind of quiet happens it can only mean 2 things: she's either going to the bathroom or she's into something she shouldn't be. It just so happened Riley was into something she shouldn't be. I walked into the bathroom to find Riley unraveling the new roll of toilet paper I had just replaced. The picture captures Riley trying to run away as if she wasn't the one to make this mess.
Here's a shot of my little monster smirking at what she had just done. She can be so rotten!! And yet I can't help but love her more and more everyday!

It's a GIRL!!

So here is a shot of our second baby girl! Unfortunately Trey couldn't get out of work so I was by myself during this sonogram, but it was still really exciting. They did an excellent job at Tripler. I got to see that her blood is flowing properly through her veins and her heart is pumping away. It amazes me every time I get a sonogram. She was being stubborn at first because she wouldn't stop moving around at first. About 35 minutes into the sonogram I got to see that she was a girl. She had her foot in the way and her legs together for most of the sonogram. But she finally moved enough for us to get the answer of "girl". Trey and I are both really excited. She weighs about 13 ounces right now. That's got me wondering why I'm weighing so much!! Just kidding...I've actually only gained 12 pounds so far, which is about half of what I had gained with Riley at this point. Anyway, I'm sure everyone is dying to know what this little beauty will be called. Her name is Kennedy Lynn Prewitt and we can't wait to welcome her into the world at the end of November!!

Vroom Vroom

Trey was on baby duty while I was getting showered and ready for the day. So to Trey that means putting some shoes on Riley and letting her play outside in her pajamas while he cleans out the garage. As I am coming downstairs Trey yells inside to hurry up and come see Riley getting her first ATV ride. I almost had a heart attack. Our neighbor, Darrell, has 2 boys and 1 girl and they have all kinds of toys that Trey loves, including the ATV. They also have little motor bikes that Trey now wants one of. Riley seemed to be enjoying herself. She just sat on the ATV and looked around. Trey then came to the conclusion that Riley needs one. I, however, disagree. Perhaps when she's older and can actually do it on her own, but I don't think at this age she needs her own. Trey thinks he's getting her one for Christmas. Think again honey!!

Team Pink or Team Blue??

Well that is still the question!! We went in today for my 20 week check up and we were very anxious to find out the sex of the baby. Apparently I was supposed to make an appointment at Tripler Hospital for the 20 wk ultrasound, but I was never informed of that information. My very nice doctor gave me an ultrasound anyway knowing how anxious Trey and I were to find out what we were having. It looks like we have a baby that doesn't want to cooperate though. There was a foot in the way and then there was a hand in the way and then the baby kept moving. So nothing definite yet, but it looks to be a girl! I go to Tripler Hospital on July 16th for my next ultrasound. Hopefully we will have a definite answer next week! Either way, Trey and I are happy that the baby appears to be healthy...no down syndrome and I'm not a carrier of cystic fibrosis.

Little Miss Chatty

Who needs toys when you've got a cell phone? Riley certainly doesn't. She is fascinated by phones. I seriously have to keep it hidden or else I leave the room and come back to find what you see in the pictures. Of course Riley has found my hiding spot of putting my phone behind the pillows on the couch. She's no fool!
There are a few occasions when Riley will call the last person that I called or called me. It happens a lot with Trey. I'll hear Riley blabbing away and I'll look at her and see she's on the phone and Trey will be on the other end of the line! It's funny, but she's using up our minutes! I just thought these pics were cute and wanted to share them with you all!

4th of July!!

Happy 4th of July to everyone!! This is one of Trey's favorite holiday's, so I was sure to have Riley decked out in the holiday spirit of red, white, and blue. We started our day by heading to the pool where Riley got to wear her new bathing suit! I tried for a cute picture of her in the suit, but she wasn't having anything to do with getting her picture taken.

After nap time and showers we headed over to Pearl Harbor for the festivities that were taking place. We were mainly there because Trey wanted to see the car show, but there was a little petting zoo and horse rides and all sorts of fun things for kids to do. Then we headed over to our friends house for a cookout. It was a fun time hanging out with friends and eating lots of yummy food! Riley turned the tired corner around 8 so we had to head home. I got her bathed and to bed and then Trey and I went outside of our house and watched the fireworks. I don't know why, but I still get excited every time I see fireworks. We had a fun day. And the bonus was that North Korea didn't attack us with a nuclear missile!! It's nice that I can live to talk about today!
