Rainy Day
Of course the doctors office is closed on Saturday. Off to the ER we went in the pouring down rain! We waited about an hour before we were called back into a room. By this time Riley had turned into her fun loving self and we knew she was just fine. Riley was having a good time crawling around on the hospital bed. It was a big new toy for her to play with. Meanwhile Trey was getting bored and finding the need to touch everything in the room. Totally reminded me of Mr. Kevin. I started singing to Riley the song about 12 little monkeys jumping on the bed. Then Trey decided he was going to sing for us. He took over the 12 little monkeys jumping on the bed and began to sing each verse in a different genre of music. He started with rap and then onto rock. The next verse of country and then came opera. He was getting so into it and being so loud, I couldn't stop laughing. I thought I was going to wet my pants. And then in walks the doctor who said, "well it looks like you all are having fun back here." Oops! I guess we should be a little more quiet in the ER! There are real sick people there with actual emergencies. The doctor proceeded to give us the third degree asking about how Riley hit her head. Come on now, we didn't throw her into the headboard.
After our interrogation from the doctor I was instructed to feed Riley and then wait to see if she throws up. This meant Trey had to find something else to do to keep us all entertained. This time instead of singing he started spinning. He was sitting on the doctors chair that spins around and would spin as fast as he could until he'd almost fall off. One time he spun himself into the wall and Riley started belly laughing at him. He was rather comical in our room. I wouldn't have wanted to be the patient next to us though, because he was so loud. I tried to keep him quiet. It just wasn't working. We were in the ER for about 3 hours before we got to go home just to find out that our little girl was just fine. Better to be safe than sorry! I tried to snap a picture of Riley's knot on her head, it just wasn't working. The picture definitely doesn't do it justice!

Weekend Cut Short
Trey cooked us some waffles with our Belgian waffle maker. He's always so proud of himself when he makes us breakfast. That, of course, is the only thing he makes in the kitchen! I was very thankful though. It's nice to get a break, even if it is for one meal. After breakfast we went to the Honolulu SPCA to look at dogs. Trey has been worse than a little kid asking to get a dog. I still don't think we need a dog right now, but I thought I'd humor him! When we went into the SPCA it was rather sad to see all of the dogs in the cages. However, there wasn't one dog that either of us fell in love with. Most of them had health problems and then the few Trey picked out weren't friendly with children. Since we're not getting rid of Riley anytime soon we left the SPCA without a dog.
We came home and fed Riley lunch(we are onto squash this week) and then back out we went. We decided it was a good time to take Riley's holiday picture. I figured it would be easy since she's always sitting up so nicely and in a good mood. Now that Riley is crawling around and moving everywhere it was rather difficult to capture a good picture. Every time I'd sit her up and fix her dress she'd wait for me to walk away and start to crawl again. It was pretty funny. Luckily we managed to get a good shot! Then Trey took Riley and me around his work. We got to look at the helicopters he works on and got a tour of the whole hangar. It was a fun time!
Riley passed out in the car on the way home. Once we got home Riley ate her dinner and then back out we went. Some of Trey's car buddies were meeting up and taking a drive to the North Shore. Trey decided since he had to work the next day he'd take the fam with him. Since Riley and I were going, our neighbor Brian decided to bring his wife and little boy along too. We went on a nice drive to the North Shore and stopped at a Mexican restaurant that I'd been wanting to try. Cholo's was the place and boy was it yummy in my tummy!! We got home around 9pm, way passed Riley's bed time. We skipped the nightly bath and just threw her into her pj's and off to bed she went! It was a really fun filled day. Trey especially enjoyed it, not only because he was with his wife and daughter all day, but because he got to have us ride in his camaro all day too!

Relaxing Weekend
On Sunday we bought another car seat for Riley. She's big enough for the big girl sit up seat now! Boy does time fly! Trey strapped the seat in his camaro and drove us around the island. Trey was thrilled out of his mind to finally have Riley riding in the camaro. We drove to the North Shore and saw all the hot surf spots. The waves were huge, about 6-10 feet that day. You wouldn't be seeing me in those waters that's for sure! Unfortunately I forgot the camera once again so I don't have any pics of the surfers...but I promise I will next time! We stopped and grabbed dinner at a local spot called Pinky's. There Trey finally discovered that babies chew on EVERYTHING! We had Riley in a highchair and I strapped a toy around the seat belt so she had something to play with. Riley didn't want the toy, she was much happier chewing on the table. I pulled her away immediately, but I thought Trey was going to have a heart attack! I don't think it's possible to keep germs away from babies. They just want to explore anything and everything. We had a nice weekend together. I think it was Trey's favorite so far because he had both of his babies in his camaro! Trust me...it doesn't happen often!

Should've Hired Mr. Kevin...
Okay, so I'm not quite sure where to begin for this entry. It all started well over a year ago, probably about 2 years ago when I was planning our wedding. The most important thing to me was to hire the best photographer money could buy. Reason being that the pictures would be what we have forever to remind us of our wedding day. After checking out a bunch of photographers I had one recommended to me. I met with him and saw his gorgeous photos of previous weddings he had worked. I was sold on the spot. I was telling my mom and Mr. Kev how much the pictures would cost me and Mr. Kev told me I was crazy. He said I should just hire him and bet that he'd take the best pictures. Yeah right! I now wonder when children will realize that their parents are normally right!
Trey and I were told on our wedding day by our photographer that by the time we got back from our honeymoon we'd be able to view our wedding photos. That would've been around Oct. 16th. After hasseling the photographer we got to see our pics mid November. I was so anxious to see our photos. After I saw the pictures I wish I hadn't! I was not pleased at all with the selection of photos. I thought for sure there would have been more pictures to choose from and more variety. I was so pissed about them I didn't order my album until January. It took me 2 months to try to find pictures that I loved. After choosing the number of pictures I was instructed to choose I placed my album order. Then I was told I had to cut 4 photos or pay another $200. Excuse me...I already paid $3200, I wasn't about to pay another damn penny.
We didn't receive our wedding album until late June. I was relieved when it finally arrived after all the waiting I had to do. Trey and I were both pleased with the final result. We were both happy and Trey even said that it was worth everything we went through and the money we spent.
Well, this past Saturday we finally received the hard drive so that we could have possession of all the wedding pictures. Would you ever guess that there were numerous pictures on the hard drive that we had never seen. Tons of pictures that I would have loved to see before I ordered my album. One would think that when paying thousands of dollars you would be able to view every picture taken. I do believe it should have been our decision as to what pictures we would like in our album.
Somehow I think I should've just let Mr. Kev and Mr. Bob take all the pictures. They both took some great ones. Anyway...here are just a few shots that I had never seen before!
Below, a sweet moment of my husband helping me make it up the stairs!

Almost Crawling
My poor baby just wants to be able to get around a room without any help. Everyday Riley is getting one step closer to crawling. It's so funny to watch her get herself into position and up on all fours. Then she looks up at me as if she's going to crawl to me. And then as soon as she goes to crawl she plops on her belly.
Riley is figuring out ways to to get what she wants without having to crawl. She'll get on all fours and then stretch her little arm as far as she can and grab whatever she's got her eye on. Then she either makes her way back to sitting position or just slides onto her tummy. Riley does get very frustrated though when she can't get to what she wants. She makes her boo-boo face and shrieks very loud. Lord help me when she starts crawling. Riley is going to be all over the place. She is definitely a mover and a shaker, just like her daddy!
